Standard Grade pH 7.0
We provide a standard grade with a pH 7.0 BSA. Different origins available. BSA is for the most sensitive cell culture, diagnostic, and research applications. BSA has exceptional purity and low interference, utilizing heat-shock fractionation designed to inactivate proteases and other potentially interfering enzymes.
Fatty acid free BSA touts the lowest levels of total lipids, fatty acids, and non-esterified fatty acids of any albumin currently available commercially. It is optimal in applications where fatty acids can interfere with functionality such as hormone, cholesterol, or nucleic acid assays and is the preferred choice for protein fillers or bases so fatty acids won’t also be included. Fatty acid-free BSA is also highly recommended for enzymatic tests as it does not contain EDTA.
